
A business executive and longtime resident of Lafayette, Louisiana, James Castille brings more than 25 years of experience to his role as chief financial officer (CFO) of Empire Group in Summit, Mississippi. In this position, he leads financial operations for a privately owned holding company that operates corporations in logistics, transportation, oil and gas midstream services, and other industries. Since joining Empire Group in 2016, Louisiana resident James Castille has helped increase profits by more than 200 percent while designing and implementing new internal financial controls.
In addition to his work with Empire Group, James Castille serves as a CPA and owner of LUMA Capital, LLC, a business consulting firm in Lafayette, Louisiana. Over the past 15 years in this role, he has advised numerous executives and business owners in industries ranging from oil and gas to automotive equipment. He has also served as a turnaround specialist to multiple companies during this time, taking on temporary roles as CFO and president while designing business plans and funding strategies that have helped companies stay solvent.
Previously, Mr. Castille served as CFO of the international business unit for Dynamic International, Inc., in Houston, Texas. In addition to managing all aspects of accounting for operations in Brazil and Saudi Arabia, he spearheaded a $700 million project in Angola, Africa, that involved negotiating a trading partner agreement (TPA) with the Angolan government.
